Position: Warehouse Person

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, labeling, stocking, and rotating of incoming product.
  • Order filling according to specified picking list.
  • Packing and handling of outgoing products.
  • Quality control to ensure shipment of fresh, quality products.
  • Inventory control to prevent mis-shipment and physical inventory discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Neat well kept appearance.
  • Knowledge of equipment use, such as forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
  • Able to handle packages of up to 220 pounds with material handing equipment provided.
  • Able to read and write basic English
  • Able to read a digital weight scale.
  • Able to function productively in extreme temperature fluctuations.

1. Weigh the shrimp (to test accurately: wash away ice, but do not thaw the shrimp).
2. Count the number of shrimp in the box and divide by the weight of the box (usually 4 to 5 lbs) to determine the average number of shrimp per pound.
